A longtime resident of Forney, Sarah Nicole Brown Henderson, on Friday morning was formally charged with one count of Capital Murder in the senseless slaying of her two young daughters, Kaylee and Kenlie.
Currently incarcerated in the Henderson County Jail, Sarah Brown Henderson was living in Mabank, Texas with her husband Jacob Henderson and her two daughters, ages 5 and 7, when on Wendesday night she got up from bed and shot her daughters while they were sleeping in the living room.
Sarah Brown Henderson has admitted to shooting her daughters, and has confessed that she had been planning to kill herself, her husband and her children for the past few weeks.
Arraigned within a closed courtroom located within the Henderson County Justice Center, Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Randy Daniel set bond for Sarah Brown Henderson at $2 million dollars for one count of Capital Murder, and it is expected that an additional murder charge will be forthcoming.
Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said “Over the last 24 hours, the investigation shows that she planned these murders for at least the last two weeks. It appears she also intended to kill her husband, but the entire crime did not go as planned.”
Immediately following the arraignment hearing, Sheriff Hillhouse released all six 911 audio recordings.
The first Emergency Management Services (EMS) audio recording is of Jacob Henderson calling for police assistance at 11:29 pm, and the second audio recording is of Mr. Henderson calling back just seconds later to cancel his request for emergency assistance.
The third 911 audio tape released is of Jacob Henderson sobbing as he reports the horrible murder of his step-daughters.
While Jacob Henderson is speaking with 911 dispatch, Sarah Brown Henderson can clearly be heard repeatedly saying “Oh my God, what did I do. Oh my girls. God forgive me, please”.
Jacob Henderson explains to the Henderson County 911 dispatcher; “My wife just shot her kids. She’s trying to commit suicide; now she’s trying to choke herself.”
While sobbing, Jacob Henderson said “I was asleep in the bedroom. She went to sleep when I went to sleep, last night. And then she came in there and said ‘Jay, I just shot the kids'. I didn’t want to believe it. I went in there and they were dead.”
When asked by the 911 dispatcher where the children were shot, Jacob Henderson hysterically proclaims, “In the head, she shot them both in the head.”
The audio recordings released are absolutely heart breaking to hear. Therefore, out of respect for a family desperately trying to cope with the loss of two beautiful young girls, The Forney Post will not be publishing the 911 audio recordings associated with this horrific crime.
