Staying busy with a variety of family and domestic disturbance calls during the last few weeks of 2017, Forney Police capped their year by responding to a “fight in progress” call
which was received from a residence located in the 200 block of Chinaberry Trail at 23:59:18 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
The Forney Police Department publically releases a “Call for Service Basic History Report” which gives a very limited amount of information on the number and type of service calls received each week.
The weekly “call log” of the Forney Police Department includes only 911 calls which were responded to within the specified week, and those calls which were closed with a deposition of “arrest-adult, report, accident report or use of force report”.
Therefore, the SFC Basic History Report supplied to the public by Forney Police is not a listing of all the 911 calls received at Forney 911 operations during the specified week. But is instead only a listing of the 911 calls that police responded to which ended with the officer either filing a report or making an arrest.
All 911 calls are recorded and registered as a matter of public record, and the police reports associated with these calls are subject to release in accordance to the Freedom of Information Act.
Therefore, any citizen wanting additional information on any police call listed within the attached CFS Basic History Reports, which are for the weeks December 18, 2017 through December 31, 2017 need simply contact the Forney Police Department.
