On January 14, 2018 at 4:30 a.m. Forney Police responded to Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite to meet with a male victim
who stated that he had been robbed and beaten at gunpoint in the apartment parking lot at 1100 Block of North Gateway Blvd by two males.
The victim sustained numerous lacerations to his face.
Forney CID Detectives responded and were able to obtain information that led to an arrest warrant being issued for Phillip Anthony Ratcliff BM 20 for the offense of Aggravated Robbery F/1.
At 3:30 p.m., Officers executed the arrest warrant at the Gateway Cedars Apartments and took Phillip Anthony Ratcliff into custody. Darien Wren BM 21 was taken into custody for possession of marijuana as well and has since been charged with Aggravated Robbery F/1 for his role in the offense.
Two other individuals found in the apartment were also taken into custody for possession of marijuana. Gabrielle Daniels WF 18 and Keith Myers BM 21 have posted bond from the Forney Justice Center and have been released.
Phillip Ratcliff and Darien Wren were transported to Kaufman County Jail and are being held on $100,000 bonds.
