On Monday, June 24, the Forney ISD school board approved a district-wide pay increase for all employees for the coming 2019-2020 school year.

On Thursday July 5, 2018 at approximately 9:00 a.m. the Kaufman Police Department was contacted by the Kaufman County Precinct 1 Constable Shawn Mayfield that his card number had been used to make fraudulent purchases in Dallas yesterday.
He advised that he believed that his card information had been stolen earlier in the week when he had purchased gas for his vehicle at the Triple AAA Food Store, located at 1502 South Washington Street in the City of Kaufman.
Kaufman Officers were sent to that location to examine the fuel pumps and discovered two (2) different fuel pumps where skimming devices had been installed. Criminal Investigators are still on scene processing the evidence.
We strongly encourage anyone that has purchased fuel at this location within the last couple of weeks to immediately contact their banking institutions, credit card companies, and the top three credit reporting bureaus at the following numbers:
