Forney Voter's Will Have Candidate Choices in the May Council Election
Sure to be a hotly outspoken political race, the five o'clock deadline to submit an application for the City Council election has passed and area voters will be excited to hear that three highly respected Forney resident's have filed candidate applications.
The voters should be thrilled to discover incumbent Council Member's Shaun Myers, Kevin Moon and David Johnson and Mayor Rick Wilson will all be challenged for their council seats.

On July 20, 2018 at 12:35 pm Forney Police were notified by the Terrell Police Department of a motor vehicle theft that had just occurred at 1400 W. Moore.
Forney Police located the vehicle, a red Ford F350 pickup pulling a trailer containing lawn equipment, traveling south bound on FM 548 at FM 1641.
The driver of the vehicle, described as a B/M wearing a dark blue Dallas Cowboys jersey, evaded Forney PD officers by driving at a high rate of speed through Dallas and Balch Springs from Forney.
The suspect drove on the wrong side of roadways multiple times to evade officers. At 1:14 pm, the suspect drove into a heavily wooded area at Kleberg Road and Rylie Crest Drive in Balch Springs and escaped on foot. The pickup caught fire and was destroyed.
Officers from DPS, Balch Springs Police, Dallas County Sheriff’s assisted with a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
