Currently under contract with Strategic Government Resources (SGR) to provide city manager services to the City of Forney; Paul Stevens has announced that he has accepted permanent employment as the Deputy City Manager for the City of Rowlett.
Forney taxpayers may find interest in the Rowlett Lakeshore Times article “Paul Stevens Named Deputy City Manager” (February 9, 2018) which details how Stevens
has accepted employment as the “number two official in city operations” with the City of Rowlett.
Neither the Forney City Council nor Paul Stevens made any comment or reference to his departure at the February 6, 2018 city council meeting, and it has been confirmed that several Forney Council Members have known for some time that Stevens was not interested in the Forney City Manager position.
The taxpayers of Forney were very recently supplied the Strategic Government Resources contract for the city manager services provided by Paul Stevens within "Forney Council Spends Big Bucks Contracting for Interim City Manager Services" published by The Forney Post on February 12, 2018.
