FHS Wins 1st Place at Lone Star Drumline Classic

On November 12th, the Forney High School percussion students traveled to Lewisville to compete at the 20th annual Lone Star Drumline Classic held at Marcus High School.

Fifty one drumlines from around the state came to Lewisville to compete at this prestigious contest.

Forney High School performed their 2016 production titled "aMAZEing" featuring music from Symphony no. 10 by Shostakovitch, Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars, and Machine by William Bolcom.

Forney High School was awarded 1st place in the Silver Division II classification. The group was also awarded Outstanding Snares and Quads in their classification. Zachary Lewis won first place in Keyboard Solo Competition.

Forney High School percussion instructor is Rob Lozano and assisted by Shannon Jacobs.
