North Forney High Falcons Hold 1st Ever Homecoming Parade

It was a beautiful morning for the 1st ever North Forney High School Homecoming Parade.

The parade route began at Smith Elementary School on Irongate Blvd. then proceeded slowly toward North Forney High School located on Falcon Way.

The loud siren of Forney Fire Engine No.1 sounded the parades start for the hundreds of Falcon fans lining the street, and the children attending the parade collected more candy than many could carry.

The 2017 NHFS Homecoming Parade Grand Marshall, Kaufman County Criminal District Attorney Erleigh Wiley led the way, and was followed by the NFH Sapphire Strutters, the NHFS Marching Band and the NFHS Varsity Falcons.

Several cars and trucks carried dignitaries including Mayor Rick Wilson, Kaufman County Commissioner Skeet Phillips and Kaufman County Clerk Laura Hughes.

The North Forney Homecoming Game will be held at City Bank Stadium, next Friday night September 15, 2017, with a kick-off time of

7:30 pm.
