The Dallas Arboretum Extends $5 Admission

To encourage even more people to enjoy the gardens during the winter months, the Dallas Arboretum is extending $5 general admission through February 23. This offer is only available when purchased at the gate. Parking is $15 or $9 if purchased online in advance.

The Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden is closed for preventative maintenance through February 23, 2018.

Dave Forehand, Dallas Arboretum's vice president of gardens, said, "We've had plenty of cold weather, which is great for helping the bulbs get ready for Dallas Blooms that opens later in February. People can get a behind-the-scenes look, and watch the beauty of the garden unfold, as our creative Horticulture team prepares for this springtime festival. You don't want to miss visiting our new garden, A Tasteful Place. All winter vegetables and herbs are looking great and will be ready to harvest soon. There are tastings every day, along with exciting culinary classes and demonstrations throughout the week."

Dallas Blooms, which is the Southwest's largest spring floral festival, returns with the theme "A World of Flowers", beginning February 24 through April 8, featuring more than 500,000 spring blooming bulbs, thousands of azaleas, and hundreds of cherry blossom trees with the festival, presented by IBERIABANK.

Those coming out during this time can also enjoy an elegant, three-course Friendship Tea, served now through February 24 for those aged 13 and older. Prices are $39 per person for traditional tea and $49 per person for champagne tea and include parking and admission to the garden. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 214.515.6511 or purchased online at
