A horrific accident has occurred on Highway 80 at the Pinson Road Bridge. A semi-truck traveling eastbound through Forney has hit the bridge and done considerable damage.
It has been confirmed that the truck hit the bridge after the dump portion of the truck began rising as it approached the bridge.
When the crash occurred, the driver was seen jumping from the truck as it came into contact with the bridge and he is reported to be uninjured.
The eastbound lanes of Highway 80 have been closed at FM 460 and traffic is being routed down the service road and allowed to get back on the highway in front of Alfredo’s Steakhouse.
Texas Department of Transportation officials were already in Forney for a meeting at City Hall. They arrived on the scene and are now accessing the bridge for safety and stability.
