Apple Texas, a franchise partner of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar with 64 restaurants in The Lone Star State, is bringing back its wildly popular DOLLARITA™ - its best-selling 10 oz. Margarita for $1 – for the entire month of July.
The cocktail that started the dollar drink craze last July and was adopted by nearly 2000 Applebee’s in October 2017 is back for its summer encore and is available during all open hours in the restaurant and bar at Apple Texas-owned Applebee’s in Austin, East Texas, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Waco and surrounding areas all month.
Those same Applebee’s are kicking off the month-long campaign a day early, when the famous cocktail will be sold on Saturday, June 30 for 50 cents. That’s not a typo: 50 cents.
The DollaRita is the one-year old brainchild of Chris Dharod, President of SSCP Management, parent company of Apple Texas, which owns and operates 64 Applebee’s restaurants in Texas. Last summer, Dharod was looking for a way to treat his neighbors with a knock-out offer during the sizzling summer Texas heat of July. The campaign resulted in more margaritas sold than in any month in the franchise partner’s history. And a year later, it’s back.
“We are always looking for ways to welcome and serve more of our neighbors all year long and since last year’s Dollarita was such a success, we decided to bring it back this summer,” Dharod.
