On Tuesday evening the Forney ISD presented STEAMfest 2018 at North Forney High School to the delight of a great many of Forney’s elementary school students.
Offering a large variety of hands-on educational booths that promoted learning and problem solving skills in a fun-time environment,
STEAMfest 2018 offered booths that taught knot tying, loom weaving, topographic computer design and several hands-on scientific experiments including the making of “slime” which was extremely popular with all the children.
The fun-time educational event also offered free face painting, a big book giveaway, a visit from the John Buckner Wetlands animal conservation specialist, a Lego creations section and music and spirit provided by the bands and cheerleaders from both Forney High Schools.
