Forney ISD recently hosted the District's 5th Annual Health Fair on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019 in the cafeteria at North Forney High School.
More than 1,080 people attended this year’s event that provided interactive booths, health and safety information, health screenings, activities and prizes.
The goal of the FISD Health Fair, presented by the Forney ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC), was to bring the entire community together to promote healthy behaviors and provide resources to help accomplish total wellness.
This year’s health fair had 41 vendors and exhibitors. A total 42 students received required vaccinations from Passport Health/North Texas. The medical care organization also provided flu shots at the FISD Health Fair this year. Vaccinations included Chicken Pox, Dtap, MMR and Pneumococcal
In addition, SHAC held a competition between schools in the District on which school could have the highest attendance at the Health Fair. The 2019 school with the highest participation was Criswell Elementary School! Congratulations to the Criswell Elementary School for having the highest attendance at the 2019 Health Fair and winning the 2019 trophy!
