Always a popular holiday event, once again the employees of City Bank in Forney held a warm and inviting Holiday Open House which was attended by several hundred area residents and businesses on Thursday night.

The United States Air Force Band of the West Concert Band presents Holiday in Blue at the Forney High School Performing Arts Center, December 2, 2016 at 7 p.m. The concert is family-friendly and open free to the public.

On November 12th, the Forney High School percussion students traveled to Lewisville to compete at the 20th annual Lone Star Drumline Classic held at Marcus High School.
Fifty one drumlines from around the state came to Lewisville to compete at this prestigious contest.
Last weekend Forney resident Hunter Lambert, an Eagle Scout from Boy Scout Troop #339, refurbished and repainted a 50 foot metal house rack and an outside stairwell for the benefit of Forney Fire Station No.1 located on Aimee Street near downtown Forney.
On Saturday, the North Forney High School swim team traveled to Carrollton, Texas to compete in their latest meet and brought home two new school records.
This meet was for swimmers who do have TISCA cuts. A big meet with qualifying times and if the swimmer doesn’t hit one, then the race doesn't score.
