Eighteen Kaufman County residents completed their Master Gardener training on Thursday, October 19th. This is the second in-county training program sponsored by the Kaufman County Master Gardener Association. The first, in 2016, had 20 participants.
Ten new CASA volunteers were sworn in on October 30th by Judge Brett Hall.
These ladies completed 30 hours of training, as well as observing court and visiting CPS and a children’s shelter. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates.
The Forney High School and North Forney High School Marching Bands both recently competed in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) 5A Area C Marching Band Competition on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Mesquite Memorial Stadium in Mesquite, Texas and advanced to the finals.
