Forney ISD Weekly District 13-5A Softball Report

The Forney Lady Rabbit softball team has opened up District 13-5A play with two dominating victories over West Mesquite (19-0) and Lancaster (15-0).

With these victories, Forney is now 13-2 overall and 2-0 in District 13-5A play. In the West Mesquite game, Forney scored 12 runs in the first inning and 7 in the second.

Top hitters for Forney in the West Mesquite game were Vanessa Hollingsworth 2 Hits and 4 RBIs) and Trinity Cannon (2 hits and 4 RBI’s).

In the pitching circle, Lexi Brown and Georgia Robinson combined to toss a no hitter while striking out 6.

This game was called after the completion of the 3rd inning due to the UIL Run Rule.

In the Lancaster game, Forney scored 10 runs in the first inning and 5 in the second.

Top hitters for Forney in the Lancaster game were Trinity Cannon (2 Hits and 6 RBI’s), Cydney Vick (2 Hits and 3 RBI’s), and Jessica Roberts (1 Hit and 2 RBI’s).

In the pitching circle, Georgia Robinson tossed a no hitter while striking out 7.

This game was called after the completion of the 3rd inning due to the UIL Run Rule.

This victory over Lancaster was a very big one for Head Coach Pat Eitel. It was the 400th victory of his outstanding high school softball coaching career. Congratulations indeed!!!!

 

 

The North Forney Lady Falcon softball team has opened up District 13-5A play with two impressive victories over Lancaster (17-0) and Terrell (16-0).

With these victories, North Forney is now 8-6-1 overall on the season and 2-0 in District 13-5A play.

In the Lancaster game, North Forney scored 5 runs in the first inning, 7 in the second, and 5 in the third. Note: This game was called after the completion of the 3rd inning due to the UIL Run Rule.

Top hitters for North Forney in the Lancaster game were Alyssa Gaidos (2 hits and 6 RBI’s) and Brooke Corneilson (2 Hits and 2 RBI’s).

In the pitching circle, Savannah Gunn tossed a no hitter while striking out 7.

In the Terrell game, North Forney scored 2 runs in first inning, 6 in the third, 3 in the fourth, and 5 in the fifth. Note: This game was called after the completion of the 5th inning due to the UIL Run Rule.

Top hitters for North Forney in the Terrell game were Brooke Corneilson (2 hits and 2 RBI’s), Riley Borton (1 Hit and 2 RBI’s), and Savannah Gunn (2 Hits and 2 RBI’s).

In the pitching circle, Savannah Gunn tossed a shutout while surrendering just 2 hits and striking out 9.
