Forney ISD Baseball Teams Continue To Play Well in District Action

During this past week, the Forney ISD Baseball Teams continued to play well in District 13-5A action.

Forney Jackrabbits

On March 19th, Forney defeated Lancaster by a count of 23-2.

Overall, in this game, Forney scored 1 run in the first inning, 5 in the second, 12 in the third, and 5 in the fourth. Note: This game was called after the fourth inning due to the UIL Run Rule.

Top hitters in this game for Forney were Will Morgan (2 Hits and 4 RBI’s), Nate Fitzgerald (1 Hit and 3 RBI’s), Justin McMahan (2 Hits and 3 RBI’s), Campbell Anderson (1 Hit and 1 RBI), Brenden Williams (1 Hit and 2 RBI’s), Addison Haley (2 Hits), Kadin Acker (1 hit and 1 RBI), and Riley McMurren (1 Hit and 2 RBI’s).

On the pitching mound, Austin Ream and Ryan Sims combined to surrender just 2 runs on 6 hits with 7 strike outs.

Then, on March 22nd, Forney squared off against Lancaster again. This game also went to the Jackrabbits in the form of an 11-1 victory.
