During this past week, the Forney ISD Baseball Teams continued to play well in District 13-5A action.
The Forney Lady Rabbit Soccer Team recently won the District 13-5A Title! Well Done, Ladies! The Soccer Playoffs will begin on March 28-30.
On Friday, March 22, the defending state champion Forney Lady Rabbit softball team registered a big District 13-5A victory over their cross-town rivals—the North Forney Lady Falcons. The final score of this game was 12-0 in favor of the Lady Rabbits.
The Forney High Jackrabbits went 3-1-1 in the Corsicana Tournament. They registered victories over Tyler Lee (Twice by counts of 4-3 and 9-6 respectively) and Red Oak (8-2). They also tied Waxahachie (6-6) and lost to Corsicana (5-2).
On Saturday, March 16th, Forney Lady Rabbit junior Sadie Hewitt won the 5A State Championship in her 220 lb. weight class at the Girls State Power Lifting Meet in Waco, Texas.
The Forney High School Softball Team has been selected as the Section 6 recipient of the “National High School Spirit of Sport Award” by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
The Forney Lady Rabbit softball team has opened up District 13-5A play with two dominating victories over West Mesquite (19-0) and Lancaster (15-0).
The North Forney Falcon Baseball Team is off to a great 7-1-1 start so far this season.
To begin their 2019 baseball season, the Falcons went to play in the Royse City Tournament.
The Jackrabbit Baseball Team is off to a 3-6 start so far this season. They have played in the Rose City Classic Tournament in Tyler and the Dallas Jesuit Tournament as well.
The Forney Lady Rabbit Softball team is currently 11-2 overall on the season. Last week, they played in a round robin tournament in Flower Mound.
Recently, the Forney Lady Rabbit and North Forney Lady Falcon Soccer Teams were able to secure playoff spots.
For the Forney Lady Rabbits, this will be their 11th playoff trip in the last 12 years
On March 2, the Forney ISD Track and Field Teams hosted and participated in the 2019 edition of the Clay Jones Memorial Relays.
