The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will conduct a Public Hearing regarding the proposed roadway improvements to US 175, from FM 148 to CR 4106 in the city of Crandall, Kaufman County, Texas.
The purpose of the public hearing is to present the proposed project to the public and receive comments.
The hearing will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the in the L.F. Raynes Board Room, Crandall Independent School District, 400 West Lewis Street, Crandall, TX 75114. Displays will be available for viewing at 6 p.m. with the formal hearing starting at 7 p.m.
The 2.8 mile proposed project would construct a new frontage road on the south side of US 175 between FM 148 and CR 4106, and the conversion of the existing two-way frontage road on the north side of US 175 to a one-way operation. The proposed project would require approximately 32 acres of proposed right-of-way and 0.72 acre of permanent easements.
The proposed project is anticipated to be let for construction in June 2020 and will take approximately 1.5 years to construct. The estimated total cost for the project is $19.9 million.
